Colorado Idaho Letters & Numbers
Colorado Idaho Letters & Numbers is a typographic collection inspired by my family’s spring break road trip to Loveland, Colorado, and Pocatello, Idaho in 2025. Along the way, I documented typography that caught my eye, focusing on signage and vernacular type with unusual and older styles. This collection highlights my favorite finds, paired with writing that reflects on the experience.

To document the trip, I carried one or both of my cameras everywhere we went. In Loveland, I explored quirky old neighborhoods filled with vernacular typography, while in Pocatello, my focus was the old downtown, full of neon signage and ghost signs from businesses that were often
no longer operating. The design approach lets the photography and writing shine with humor, allowing the typography to take center stage or play a subtle supporting role. Small details, such as date, location, and icons referencing the photographs, add extra layers of context and interest.
